Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Special Occasions / Up-Dos.
Most up-do appointments take 45 to 90 minutes depending on hair length, complexity, and any accessories. Allow extra time for consultations or trials. For bridal parties or multiple guests, we recommend booking additional time so every style receives careful attention.
With professional pinning, quality products, and proper prep, most up-dos hold through an entire evening. Hair type and activity level affect longevity. We apply finishing sprays and can provide touch-up tips or a small kit to maintain your look.
Yes - our stylists are experienced with all textures and will customize the technique to protect curl pattern and natural volume. We use hydration, gentle detangling, and appropriate products to ensure a secure, flattering up-do that honors your hair's health.
We recommend clean, dry hair unless advised otherwise; slightly textured (day-old) hair often holds styles better. If you need a wash, arrive with damp hair for styling. Discuss your hair's recent treatments during booking so we can prepare the best approach.
Yes - bring any personal accessories such as pins, combs, or veils. Our team can incorporate them or suggest alternatives that photograph well. Large or delicate items may require extra time or a small fee, so mention them when booking.
For peak seasons and proms, book four to eight weeks in advance; for weddings or larger parties, reserve services three to six months ahead. We recommend scheduling a bridal trial months prior. Deposits and confirmations help secure your preferred date and stylist.
